Many modern spinning wheels are adaptable enabling the spinner to add either a jumbl flyer for thicker or art yarns, or flyers with faster whorls for thinner yarns with more twist, both offering endless possibilities. You may have a jumbo flyer that you are not quite sure how to use effectively or you may be considering the benefits before you invest in one for your wheel. In either case this workshop will help you make the best use of your flyer and you will find new freedom and creativity to enhance your spinning skills showing you just how you can expand your yarn repertoire if you do proceed to buy your flyer. You may use my wheel with jumbo flyer attached but this will necessitate sharing. During this half-day workshop you will learn how to make those chunky yarns which we often struggle with, and also how to start your journey into art yarns creating sensational spiralled yarns and Thick & Thin yarns. You will go home with the most gorgeous squidgy and textured yarns to use as accents in knitting, crochet or weaving or just to hang up and admire.
