How to Spin to Retain Colours

It can be quite frustrating to spin those gorgeous, colourful braids of fibre with expectations of creating vibrant yarns only for it to turn into a murky, muddy, disappointing shade of mud! Well don't worry, help is at hand.

During this workshop we shall explore two methods of spinning to help preserve the vibrant colours and help you achieve the results you had hoped for. You will produce two skeins of yarn spun using different techniques to take home, admire, love and finally, when you feel ready to part with it, transform it into something ready to brighten the winter days ahead.

The cost includes a beautiful braid of hand dyed fibre and any other fibre you may need during the day.

This event is suitable for those already able to spin and ply a basic yarn. Your wheel must be in good working order with at least three bobbins. PLease bring your lazy kate and niddy noddy and any other associated items you would like to use.

Refreshments will be provided but please bring a packed lunch. Please also make me aware at the time of booking of any health conditions or allergies, including to food that I should be aware of.
