About the Event

If you have ever watched a hand spinner happily spinning soft wool into gorgeous yarns and wanted to give it a go, or felt that your knitting, crochet or weaving could be even more creative if you could spin your own yarns then, this workshop is for you. If you have spun before and want to revisit a forgotten skill then here is the chance to do so. Or perhaps you are a spinner looking to perfect a specific area or technique of your spinning then I can tailor the course to support you too. If you are unsure of what you need then please feel free to get in touch and we can chat about it first.

If my displayed dates do not suit you do please contact me directly as I always do my best to accommodate your preferred dates.

Workshops are held in the tranquil Norfolk countryside on our smallholding where you can meet our delightful flock of rare breed North Ronaldsay sheep and Icelandic sheep whose wool you will be spinning on the day.

You will learn what to look for when choosing a good fleece for spinning. You will learn the arts of carding, spinning and plying, using the fleece from our own flock, and will make your very own skein of yarn to take home. I am more than happy for students to photograph or video aspects of the workshop to remind them at home or just to impress friends and family with!

Workshops are limited to just four students to ensure lots of 1:1 tuition. The day is very relaxed and informal. Why not take a look at our recent reviews to see what other customers have said about us.

I am a qualified trainer and assessor in the Life Long Learning sector but far more importantly I get tremendous satisfaction from simply passing on the incredible skill of spinning to others.

I hope to see you soon

Theresa
