I am delighted to be exhibiting at the Norfolk Makers Festival on April 19th to introduce as many people as possible to the wonderfully creative, fun and relaxing craft of hand spinning. In the evening I shall be holding a workshop entitled Hand Spinning With Colour from 5pm 0 8pm at The Forum and would be thrilled to have lots of spinners join me for this fun event.

Are you passionate about working with vibrant colourful fibres in your hand spinning projects? Do you want to create yarns that preserve the distinct beauty of each hue and prevent those frustrating muddy colours?

In this three hour evening workshop you will learn how to maintain the vividness and integrity of colourful fibres. You will learn about a range of techniques to prepare your fibres for spinning and focus on two methods of spinning - spinning from the fold and fractal spinning.

Your workshop will include all of the fibres you will need to spin and notes to take away with you.

You will need to bring:

• Your own spinning wheel
• 3 bobbins, lazy kate, niddy noddy
• Scissors
• Spare yarn for leaders and tying skeins

5pm-8pm, Friday 19 April
