About the Event

The key to great spinning has to be great preparation but if you find your drum carder a bit daunting, hand cards a bit troublesome or your blending board a bit of a bother then this fun workshop is just for you.

We shall look at carding wool locks on the drum carder and hand cards to create the perfect batts, sliver and rolags before moving on to blending a range of gorgeous fibres using these tools and the blending board.

All fibres will be provided for you to explore your creativity and make some stunning fibre preparations ready to spin.

I suggest that you bring your spinning wheel in case there is time to spin some fibres too.

I believe it is always better to practise on the equipment you will be using at home so you will need to bring your own fibre preparation equipment please. I do have some available but it will be more time-effective if you have your own. If this causes you a problem do get in touch to discuss.

HOW TO BOOK: Simply RSVP and I shall email you personally with a booking form and additional information.

DATE: November 30th 10am -2.30pm

COST: £40

WHAT'S INCLUDED: All fibres, use of equipment if necessary, refreshments.

WHAT TO BRING:  Your own equipment eg drum carder, hand cards, blending board, a light lunch.
